Clinton Savings Bank sought a multi-faceted campaign to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Massachusetts. The goal was to raise $5,000 to sponsor a child whose wish was to visit Walt Disney World and to simultaneously gain good publicity for the bank. Working closely with the bank’s marketing department and a graphic designer at McDougall & Duval, we devised this effective campaign.
Many local businesses and residents responded to our coordinated efforts, including change collection at each branch (promoted as “Coins for a Cause”), statement stuffers detailing the campaign (shown above), in-branch awareness posters, sale of a custom calendar featuring illustrations by local school children and a debit card promotion in which the bank donated funds based on customer card activity over a period of time. As a result, nearly three times the goal was raised (close to $15,000), allowing three children to get their wishes granted. The bank also garnered lots of desirable newspaper coverage within the communities it served. Hard-copy clips are available to review by request.
